4 days and counting, and it feels like there's so much to do. My work in the NICU the past week is, I suspect, about as far from the clinic facilities we will be working in as one can get. I think I'm in denial as to how soon we are leaving. A crucial group trip to REI last weekend to obtain some travel necessities brought the reality of our departure a little closer to home. Some of our REI bounty included pants, shirts, travel belts, and a large amount of DEET. 6 IM injections of Japanese encephalitis vaccine, 3 tubes of Ultrathon insect repellent, and one spray bottle of Sawyer's later and the mosquitoes will have nothing on the three of us!
